Our fees vary by nursery setting and age group. The tables below give a clear guide to weekly and monthly costs for Shortlands and Sydenham.

Funding arrangements and additional charges vary by nursery, so please read the information for your chosen setting carefully.

What the charges include

Seasonal and annual workshops and events including Sports 4 Tots, languages, yoga, Drama Llamas, duck hatching, first aid, Easter and Christmas events, graduation, science lab, insect and animal visits, and Boogie Mites.

Shortlands need-to-know extras

Our full daily fee is inclusive of nappies, wipes and formula milk for under 1s.
If your child requires a specific brand or has allergies, please provide your own.
Fees are charged 52 weeks of the year and apply to all booked days, including bank holidays, staff training days, nursery closure days and holidays.
A 10% sibling discount is applied to the eldest child’s fees.

Sydenham need-to-know extras

Our full daily fee is not inclusive of nappies or wipes, so please pack these daily.

Shortlands deposit, admin fee and notice

Deposit: £450.00 to secure your space.
Admin fee: £60.00, non-refundable.
This deposit and admin fee secures your non-funded/private hours.
No deposit or admin fee is charged for 100% funded hours.
For non-funded/private hours, the deposit remains with the nursery until you give 4 weeks’ written notice to leave.
The deposit is only refunded through your last month’s fees if your child has been with us for 3 months, plus 4 weeks’ written notice.
For funded hours, notice is not required, but we respectfully ask for as much notice as possible.

Sydenham deposit, admin fee and notice

Deposit: £350.00 to secure your space.
Admin fee: £60.00, non-refundable.
This deposit and admin fee secures your non-funded/private hours.
No deposit or admin fee is charged for 100% funded hours.
For non-funded/private hours, the deposit remains with the nursery until you give 4 weeks’ written notice to leave.
The deposit is only refunded through your last month’s fees if your child has been with us for 3 months, plus 4 weeks’ written notice.
For funded hours, notice is not required, but we respectfully ask for as much notice as possible.

Funded hours

Funding starts the academic school term, September, January or April, after your child turns 9 months, 2 years or 3 years, depending on their age when they join us.

Shortlands funding

30 hours: the maximum number of funded hours is 1140 hours per academic year for working families, equivalent to 30 hours for 38 weeks of the year.

Little Cherubs Shortlands stretches the 30 hours working families funding over 49 weeks, giving each child a maximum of 23.26 hours of funding each week.

15 hours: the maximum number of funded hours is 570 hours per academic year for Early Learning 2 Year Olds and 3&4 Year Universal funding.

Little Cherubs Shortlands stretches the 15 hours funding over 49 weeks, giving each child a maximum of 11.63 hours of funding each week.

No funding is claimed for the last week in August and 2 weeks over the Christmas break.

Sydenham funding

Little Cherubs Sydenham offers the 30 hours funding term time only over 38 weeks. The remaining 14 weeks are charged at our normal daily rate.

15 hours: the maximum number of funded hours is 570 hours per academic year for Early Learning 2 Year Olds and 3&4 Year Universal funding.

Little Cherubs Sydenham offers the 15 hours funding term time only over 38 weeks. The remaining 14 weeks are charged at our normal daily rate.

Each term we total the allocated funding and non-funded hours and spread the cost evenly over the term.

Additional charges and funding notes

Any hours not claimed can be used at an additional childcare provider.

Government funding is intended to deliver up to 30 hours of free, high quality, flexible early education and care each week to children under 5 years old.

Funded hours are accessible free of charge to parents and carers. Government funding is not intended to cover the costs of meals, consumables, extra activities, additional hours or additional services.

For Shortlands, funded hours are offered stretched over 49 weeks per year. Any remaining hours or weeks are charged at full price.
