Little Cherubs Nurseries

Supporting families and our wider community

At Little Cherubs, we believe children grow best when they feel part of a caring community. That means supporting children in nursery, working closely with parents and finding ways to help others beyond our own settings.

Over the years, our nursery families and staff have supported local causes, food banks, children’s charities, fundraising events and family workshops.

How we support our community

Our community work is built around kindness, practical help and bringing families together.

Families

Supporting families

We work closely with parents and carers, sharing information, guidance and reassurance whenever families need it.

Fundraising

Fundraising events

Our staff, children and families regularly take part in events to raise money for important children’s charities.

Workshops

Workshops and talks

We help families access useful information through workshops, webinars and talks from early years professionals.

Charity and fundraising

We believe in doing what we can to support children’s charities and causes that make a real difference to children and families.

Children’s charities

Our fundraising has supported charities including Children in Need, Barnardo’s Big Toddle, Comic Relief, Sports Relief and others.

Chosen charity focus

Each year, we aim to focus our spare time, energy and resources on a chosen charity.

Family involvement

Parents, children, staff and friends of Little Cherubs all help make fundraising events a success.

Fundraising is a lovely way for children to learn about kindness, community and helping others.

Supporting children’s charities

Little Cherubs has supported a range of causes that help children and families facing difficult circumstances.

Rainbow Trust

Supporting families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

The Childhood Trust

Helping vulnerable children living in poverty in London through fundraising and volunteering.

Little Princess Trust

Supporting children and young people experiencing hair loss through hair donations and fundraising.

These causes reflect our belief that every child deserves care, support, opportunity and dignity.

Food, meals and practical help

We know that families can face difficult times. Where we can, we try to offer practical support that helps children and families feel cared for.

Free nursery meals

Little Cherubs has supported eligible families by providing daily meals for children attending funded sessions.

Food bank donations

Families have been invited to donate extra food to help local food banks support people who cannot afford essentials.

Staff volunteering

Our team has supported community projects, including programmes helping children and families affected by food poverty.

Partnership with parents

Keeping that family feel is important to us. We hold Friends of Little Cherubs meetings with our management team, giving parents and carers the chance to meet informally, discuss current topics, share ideas and stay involved in nursery life.

These meetings help parents get to know staff and other families, while also supporting open communication around events, child development and nursery updates.

Workshops, talks and family support

We try to provide parents with helpful, up-to-date information on topics that support children’s wellbeing, learning and family life.

Parent workshops

Families can access workshops, webinars and talks from professionals across the early years sector.

Wellbeing topics

Past support has included sessions such as mindfulness, meditation and family wellbeing.

Nutrition guidance

Families have been supported with information around toddler meals, snacks and healthy eating.

A nursery with heart

Community matters to us because children learn from the world around them. By showing care, generosity and respect, we help children understand what it means to be part of something bigger.
